Deerlake Middle School will be hosting the 2024 FAMAT March Regional Competition. Each school may register up to 2 teams for each of the six divisions: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Statistics, Precalculus, and Calculus.
Postmarked deadline for registration is February 17, 2024. Please have your registration completed online and your fees mailed by that date. Each sponsor may need to cover duties during the competition.
Please bring your enrollment list as downloaded from www.floridamao.org with the participating competitors’ names and ID#s highlighted.
LUNCH: I will be taking pre-orders for 2 slices of pizza and a drink for $7. Please email me the number of pepperoni pizza and the number of cheese pizza lunches your school would like to purchase and add the total lunch cost to your registration. If you would prefer to leave for lunch there are restaurants within 4 miles on Thomasville Road. There is a Wendy's (would not recommend this one), Chick-Fil-A and a Dairy Queen as well as some more expensive restaurants.
PRE-ALGEBRA: There will be a Pre-Algebra individual test. Please e-mail me names for Pre-Algebra to [email protected] and include $10 per Pre-Algebra student with your FAMAT registration by February 17, 2024.
We will be following the standard FAMAT schedule for regionals. Students should gather in the courtyard where the picnic tables are if the weather is nice. In case of inclement weather, we will open the auditorium for students. We have several buildings, please keep students confined to the courtyard or testing areas only.
